Modernization of heating networks in Dnipro
KP “KOMENERGOSERVICE” of the Dnipro City Council (Dnipro) is an enterprise that ensures the stable operation of the city’s heating networks and is responsible for the efficient use of energy resources.
As part of infrastructure modernization, 5 new brass S1H heat meters were installed on pipelines with a diameter of 50 mm.
At first glance, it seems like a standard upgrade. But there is an interesting detail:
the flow sections were repainted black to make them less attractive to metal thieves.
This case clearly shows that in engineering solutions, not only technology matters – but also practicality.
Sometimes, a simple solution (like paint) can be more effective than complex security systems.
Brass flow sections:
- are ideally suited for stable operation in heating networks;
- optimal for pipelines with a diameter of 50 mm;
- ensure accurate measurement of thermal energy.
Sometimes efficiency is not only about technology, but also about the ability to consider real-world conditions.
